Terms of Service

The service

Pabbel provides email (Pabbel Mail), file storage (Pabbel Drive), and the account system that connects them, on the web and in our apps. We work hard to keep the service fast and available, but it is provided as-is, without a formal uptime guarantee.

Your account

You are responsible for your account: keep your password private and enable two-step verification. You must be able to receive messages at your account to use it for sign-ins elsewhere - treat it accordingly.

Accounts are personal. Don’t sell, rent or share account access.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Pabbel to send spam or scam messages, distribute malware, host or share illegal content, infringe copyright at scale, harass people, or attack the service or other systems.

We may rate-limit, restrict or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where possible we warn first; for clear abuse (spam runs, malware, illegal content) we act immediately.

Abuse reports and investigations

Anyone can report a shared file, email or account they believe is abusive. When we receive a report, our team reviews the specific reported content to judge the claim - that review is limited to what was reported and exists to keep the service clean and safe.

Routine operation never involves humans reading your mail or files; only reported content is examined, and only for that purpose.

Legal requests

If a competent authority (police, courts, or similar) presents us with a lawful demand for data, we comply with it. We limit what we hand over to what the demand lawfully requires.

Outside of such demands and the abuse process above, your data is not disclosed to anyone - and it is never sold.

Your content

What you store stays yours. You grant us only the technical license needed to store, transmit, and display it back to you and the people you share it with.

Keep your own backups of anything critical. We maintain infrastructure backups, but they exist to recover the service, not as your personal archive.

Termination

You can stop using Pabbel and request account deletion at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create legal or technical risk to the service; unless the law prevents it, we’ll tell you why.

Liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Pabbel is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Meaningful changes will be announced (by email or in-product) before they take effect. Continuing to use Pabbel after that means you accept the updated terms.
