Pabbel Vault
Passwords only you can read.
Pabbel Vault encrypts every password, two-step code and note on your own device, with a key that comes from a vault password we never see. Our servers only ever hold ciphertext.

What’s inside
One place for every secret, sealed before it leaves you.
Encrypted on your device
Your vault password is stretched with PBKDF2-SHA256 at 600,000 rounds, and every item is sealed with AES-256-GCM before it is uploaded.
Two-step codes, built in
Keep the six-digit codes for your accounts next to their passwords - no separate authenticator app to lose with your phone.
Move from Google Authenticator
Bring every code across at once: add the export QR codes from Google Authenticator and choose which accounts to import.
Team vaults
Share a vault with family or colleagues. Each member receives the vault key encrypted to their own key, with owner, admin and member roles and an activity log.
Key rotation on removal
When someone leaves a team vault, rotate it and everything inside is re-encrypted with a fresh key they never had.
Generator and secure notes
Create strong, unique passwords in one tap, and keep recovery codes, licence keys and other private notes encrypted alongside them.
Why Pabbel
Zero-knowledge means exactly that.
Encryption and decryption happen only in your browser or on your phone. What reaches Pabbel is ciphertext, membership and an activity log - never your vault password, never a readable item. The same design means there is no reset button: if you forget your vault password, nobody, including us, can open what is inside. On Android, quick unlock with your fingerprint or face uses a key held in the phone’s secure hardware.
Questions
Asked and answered.
- Is Pabbel Vault free?
- Yes. Vault comes with every Pabbel account, including the free plan - passwords, two-step codes, secure notes and team vaults alike.
- Can Pabbel see my passwords?
- No. Items are encrypted on your device before upload, and the key comes from your vault password, which never leaves your device. We store only ciphertext.
- What if I forget my vault password?
- It cannot be reset - that is what zero-knowledge means. Your Pabbel account stays usable, but the contents of the vault cannot be recovered by anyone, so keep your vault password somewhere safe.
- Can it replace my authenticator app?
- Yes. Vault generates two-step codes for any service that uses standard authenticator QR codes, and imports everything from Google Authenticator’s export in one go.
- Can I share passwords with my family or team?
- Yes. Create a team vault and invite members by their Pabbel account. Everything inside is visible to every member, and admins can invite and remove people.
- Is there an Android app?
- Yes. The native Android app unlocks with your fingerprint or face and works with the same vaults as the web app. It is in testing on Google Play - join from the Apps page.
